1967

Clazing founded...

Clazing family business founded by Gert Clazing in Zevenhuizen. Around ten
employees, slaughtering about 800 chicks per day. Early on, the choice was made to serve the Islamic consumer, laying the foundation for today’s leading position as a supplier of fresh, high-quality halal chicken products.

1997

New generation

After steady growth, the site was extensively renovated and expanded. That same year, founder Gert Clazing’s sons – Adrie and Wim – took over the company, and they are still at the helm today.

2006

Expansion

Further expansion of the Zevenhuizen site. By then, more than 130 employees were working there, slaughtering 130,000 chicks per day.

2013

Aqcuisition Mr. John

 Acquisition of Mr. John, a company originating from market stalls in Rotterdam,
producing cooked chicken products such as wings, schnitzels, and nuggets. Production later moved to Sprundel, where chicken legs are now processed into thigh meat, drumsticks, and leg meat.

2016

New location

Opening of a new site in Sprundel for large-scale production of cooked chicken products. Later, Mr. John’s production was also moved here. The company is now known as Clazing Convenience Food B.V.

2021

Partnership

Partnership with Royal De Heus Voeders, headquartered in Ede with branches worldwide. Through this cooperation, Clazing also acquired poultry slaughterhouses C. van Miert B.V. in Breukelen and Mieki B.V. in Hunsel.

2023

Acquisition

Acquisition of poultry cutting plant Vriesekoop Rosmalen, a producer of chicken fillet, adding valuable capacity to the Clazing Group.

2025

Acquisition

Acquisition of slaughterhouse Van der Linden in Beringe, further strengthening the
Clazing Group’s network.

Today

Healthy family business

Clazing is now a healthy family business with four slaughterhouses, two cutting plants, and its own convenience branch. Each week we slaughter over 2 million chicks and offer a
complete range of fresh, cooked, and frozen halal chicken products.

Culture and reliability

What has always remained is the down-to-earth, people-oriented company culture. Employees feel part of the “family” and directors still work daily in production to stay closely involved. This way of working emphasizes our commitment to quality, cooperation, and reliability.

Focus on the halal market

Over the years, Clazing has grown into a leading supplier within the halal market. The conscious choice to fully focus on the halal consumer has led to targeted growth and a strong position in specific regions.
